About

This shop curates and sources Japanese stationery to make thoughtfully designed writing tools, paper goods, and everyday accessories more accessible in Houston.

Rather than creating our own products, we focus on discovering and selecting stationery made in Japan that reflects values of craftsmanship, simplicity, and care. Many of these items are designed to be used daily and appreciated over time — not treated as disposable or trend-driven.

The collection spans multiple categories and makers, offering intentional variety while maintaining a cohesive standard of quality, usability, and design. Each item is chosen with attention to how it feels, functions, and fits into everyday routines.

This is a soft launch — a deliberate introduction of the collection. We’re starting thoughtfully, allowing space to learn, refine, and grow intentionally as we build alongside our community.

Why Japanese Stationery?

Japanese stationery reflects a way of thinking that values care, simplicity, and intention in everyday life. Many of these objects are designed not to be flashy or disposable, but to be used daily, respected, and enjoyed over time. This shop exists to share that philosophy — bringing stationery that supports quiet rituals like writing, planning, and reflection into modern life.

Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Michelle. My love for Japanese stationery started long before I imagined opening a shop — inspired by three years studying Japanese language in college and a lifelong appreciation for Japanese culture. I’m also an avid journaler, and I’ve spent countless hours using my Hobonichi planner to make spreads, decorate with stickers, and explore how small, intentional rituals can make everyday planning feel joyful.

This shop grew from that personal practice. I curate each pen, notebook, and accessory with care, selecting items that are not just beautiful, but made to be used, enjoyed, and valued in everyday life. It’s about those little rituals — writing a note, planning your day, or giving a thoughtful gift — that make ordinary moments meaningful.

I’m excited to share this collection with Houston and grow thoughtfully alongside the community, one carefully chosen piece at a time.
